Talia LOVES flowers — as well as crochet, strawberries, and performance!
For those visiting from out of town, Victoria and the surrounding region offer many beautiful places to explore before or after the bat mitzvah weekend.
Government House — Historic grounds and some of the city’s most beautiful public gardens, with excellent walking paths and ocean views.
Butchart Gardens — One of Victoria’s best-known attractions, featuring spectacular floral displays and landscaped gardens.
Songhees Walkway — A scenic waterfront walk along the Inner Harbour and West Bay, with views of downtown Victoria and the Olympic Mountains.
Inner Harbour — The heart of downtown Victoria, surrounded by historic architecture, restaurants, and waterfront activity.
Beacon Hill Park — A large and beautiful urban park with gardens, ponds, walking trails, and oceanfront viewpoints.
Dallas Road — A dramatic waterfront drive and walking route overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Royal BC Museum — a gem of a museum, one of the oldest in Canada, for contemporary, Indigenous, and historical art and natural history.
East Sooke Regional Park — Rugged coastal hiking trails, forested paths, and striking ocean scenery.
Sooke Potholes Regional Park — A popular natural swimming and hiking area with river-carved rock formations.
Gowlland Tod Provincial Park — Excellent hiking with sweeping views of forests, inlets, and surrounding mountains.
Victoria offers an unusual and beautiful combination of ocean, forest, gardens, and walkable urban spaces, and we hope family visiting from afar will have a chance to enjoy some of what our region has to offer.
